Assistant Tecnician

OVERALL ROLE

The Helpers in a PV power plant play a supporting role in assisting the Electrical teams. The Helpers assist with basic tasks related to maintenance, cleaning, material handling, and organizing tools and equipment for electrical work. Their support is crucial to ensuring that the plant operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

1. Support for Maintenance and Repair Activities
- Assistance to Technicians:
- Routine Cleaning and Maintenance Support:
- Basic Equipment Handling:

2. Organization and Management of Tools and Materials
- Inventory and Stocking of Tools:
- Handling Spare Parts and Supplies:

3. Safety and Compliance Support
- Adherence to Safety Protocols:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Assistance:
- Emergency Preparedness:

4. Routine Inspections and Documentation Support
- Support for Routine Inspections:
- Basic Data Recording and Documentation:

5. Cleaning and Organization of Electrical Work Areas
- Cleaning and Tidying Workspaces:
- Organizing Storage Areas:

6. General Support for Electrical Tasks
- Manual Labor Assistance:
- Preparation and Post-Maintenance Cleanup:

7. Teamwork and Communication
- Coordination with Electrical Teams:
- Shift Coordination and Task Handover:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in industrial or mechanical support is an asset.
Experience: Previous experience in a general labor, helper, or maintenance support role, ideally within an industrial or power plant setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.
Safety Training: Basic training in workplace safety, handling of tools and materials, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is advantageous; additional training will be provided.
Technical Skills
Basic Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with basic tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance, including their safe handling and storage.
Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety practices for working around high-voltage equipment, hazardous materials, and industrial machinery.

Organizational Skills: Ability to organize tools, parts, and materials, supporting efficient maintenance operations and inventory management.
